Why We Like It

This enrichment is great for keeping animals busy because it is so time-consuming. It encourages creative problem solving and tool use to dislodge the raisins from the holes.

Materials
  • Thick piece of plastic, you can use a thick cutting board (watch for sharp edges)

  • Drill

  • 1/8" and 1/4" drill bits

How to Make It
  1. Clean and sand the board to remove sharp edges

  2. Drill lots of different-sized holes all over the board

  3. Fill each hole with a raisin; ensure that the raisin is flush with the board for maximum challenge

  4. Give your animal a stick to go along with the board to extract the raisins
